State Exams in Texas

All educators in Texas must pass 2 tests--one in their content area and one pedagogy test.  Technology and Diversity are important standards required in Texas. This information is covered in the TEKS (skills all children must master and all educators must teach).  See example of technology & diversity being taught during field experiences. This information is also tested on the pedagogy exams all Texas educators must pass.SFA students currently enjoy an exceptionally high pass rate on all state exams. This indicates experience and coverage of this information in course work and field classes at SFA meets the standard expected in Texas.
